New Summer 2013 Set Rumors (LOTR, Star Wars, Castle)

A hoard of Summer 2013 set rumors have appeared all over the internet. The most exciting rumors (to me) is the announcement of more LOTR, certain Star Wars sets, and the return of Castle!
There's also some Galaxy Squad, Legends of Chima, and City. So let's dive into the rumors of 2013 LEGO!


First up is Lord of the Rings. We'll be getting 4 sets. With plenty of opportunities for LEGO to amaze the world. But will they?

• 7907 Battle at the Black Gate
• 79008 Pirate Ship Ambush

Like I said, great opportunities. I can't wait for a Saruman fig!

Next is City. We'll get Coast Guard, Cargo, and other random city sets.

Coast Guard:

• 60012 4x4 & Diving Boat
• 60014 Coast Guard Patrol
• 60015 Coast Guard Plane

Cargo:

• 60019 Stunt Plane
• 60020 Cargo Truck
• 60021 Cargo Heliplane

Random City:

• 60023 City Starter Set
• 60025 Grand Prix Truck
• 60027 Monster Truck Transporter

Looks like City is continuing the sub-themes.

The 2007 Castle theme will be returning in 2013. Same logo, but with different box art, and maybe a different story.

Dragons! Yum!

Of course, Star Wars will be back again. And LEGO will be continuing the Episode VI Tatooine sets.

Those are the only two for now. I can't wait for the Sail Barge! I missed out on the 2006 version. And that set rocked!

NEWS FLASH! Galaxy Squad will not be a one-hit-wonder. We'll be getting at least two waves of sets. This is good for LEGO, but not good for the LEGO CUUSOO project Space Troopers.

There are only 4. But I wouldn't be surprised if we got a Winter 2014 wave too.
